The Municipal Court is the judicial branch of the City of Manzanita government. It has jurisdiction over most City and State traffic offenses committed within City limits, as well as Municipal Ordinance violations.
The Municipal Court Clerks can answer questions about the court schedule and bail amounts and help with other administrative matters.
However, they cannot give legal advice. If you need legal advice, you should consult an attorney.
For help finding one, call the Oregon State Bar’s Lawyer Referral Service at 503-620-0222 or 1-800-452-8260.
YOUR COURT APPEARANCE DATE AND TIME ARE WRITTEN ON THE BOTTOM LEFT-HAND CORNER OF YOUR CITATION.
SCHEDULED CASES ARE SEEN ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS.
IF YOU CHOOSE TO ENTER A PLEA OF NO CONTEST AND PAY THE COURT THE AMOUNT OF THE PRESUMPTIVE FINE,
YOUR PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO YOUR COURT APPOINTMENT.
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, COURT WILL BE HELD IN A TEMPORARY FACILITY AND OPEN TO DEFENDANTS ONLY.
FOR INSTRUCTIONS TO THE COURTROOM, OR IF YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE, PLEASE CONTACT THE COURT CLERK.
