What to do if there is an issue with a short-term rental
IF THE PROBLEM NEEDS AN IMMEDIATE SOLUTION
Step 1:
Call the contact shown in the list or at this link: https://ci.manzanita.or.us/str-contact-list/
The contact number should also be on a plaque on or near the rental house.
From Ordinance 10-3: Once a complaint or issue is reported, the Owner or Local Agent shall immediately make direct contact with the renter or appropriate entity by phone to resolve the reported problem. If the problem cannot be resolved or an immediate resolution is not achieved by phone, the Owner or Local Agent shall make an in-person visit to the Short-Term Rental to rectify the situation within 20 minutes.
Step 2:
If the issue is not resolved by the above, or if the issue involves the City
(possible illegal rental, general ordinance questions)
Call the Code Enforcement number at 503-985-9851 during these hours:
Friday through Tuesday 8 am to 4 pm.
If there is no response from this number, go to step 3.
Step 3:
Call the non-emergency Manzanita Police line at 503-368-7229
IF THE PROBLEM DOES NOT NEED AN IMMEDIATE SOLUTION
Step 1:

If you do not wish to contact the owner or agent, or the problem involves the City, go to step 2.
